I've been looking at WK Grand Cherokees. They're more refined than my WJ, and I like the Hemi + Quadra-Drive combo. But the WK is just not an attractive vehicle. In order to clean up its looks some, I took some inspiration from the current WK2 generation, and blacked out the B- and C-pillars.
It can't fix the atrocious headlights, but I think it's an improvement, and all that's needed is a can of Plasti-Dip.

A bit unpolished, but I never thought they looked that bad.

I hate how much chrome and glitz there is. They could still make it more refined, but leave the butch exterior, because it is still a Jeep.

The WJ and WK2 are both much better looking.

Yeah, and they should considering they had such higher development costs compared to the wk. I think it has better proportions than the wj, maybe that's not the right word. The wj always looked awkward to me.
My mom has a wk2 that I bug every week to let me buy, such a handsome looking Jeep. It's like a wk that was able to get the full 2:30 sec in on a lean cuisine microwave panini.
Sorry been drinking if none of this makes sense.

Thats because you're looking at the wrong one

This would still look better with blacked out pillars though.
But this also shows me that having a painted grille rather than chrome would be an improvement to the non-SRT WK.
Apparently the Laredo also comes with a body-color grille which helps clean up the front end somewhat.
Slap that grille on a Limited with the Hemi & Quadra-Drive, plasti-dip the pillars, and now we're getting somewhere.

I always thought the WK was fairly attractive on the outside. What you can't fix is its absolute disaster of an interior.

The last Grand Cherokee I drove was a brand new rental in 2000. I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. And it looked good.
